POPULAR QUESTIONS

Quick answers before you upload.

These are the basics most people need when they are deciding how to store, share, or manage a file on FilePaw.

FilePaw is a file hosting service for uploading files, keeping them organized, and sharing clean download links. It is useful when you need a direct link without building a full cloud-drive workspace around one file.

Go to the upload page, choose your file, and wait for the upload to finish. FilePaw will give you sharing options such as a direct download link, forum code, HTML code, or a short link when available.

Yes. Files uploaded to FilePaw are private by default and are not publicly listed. Other people can access a file only when you share its link or choose a public visibility option for that file or folder.

In most cases, yes. If you share a valid download link, the person receiving it can use that link without joining a shared workspace. Some downloads may still include normal limits or verification steps based on the file and account type.

Yes. Registered users can manage files from their account area and use folders to keep related uploads together. Folders are helpful when one link is not enough for a collection of files.

File retention depends on your account type and the limits shown for that plan. Free or anonymous uploads may expire sooner, especially after inactivity. Premium accounts are designed for larger limits and longer-term sharing.

Premium plans can unlock larger upload limits, more storage, higher download volume, fewer interruptions, and a cleaner download experience. You can compare current plan limits on the Premium page.

If you uploaded while logged in, manage the file from your account's file manager. If you uploaded without an account, use the delete link provided after upload. If you cannot find it, create a support ticket with the file link and details.

Do not upload illegal content, malware, copyrighted material you do not have permission to share, sexual content, or abusive/offensive material. Please review the Terms of Service for the full rules.

Common reasons include an incomplete link, a private file that has not been shared correctly, an expired or deleted file, browser/download restrictions, or a file removed for policy reasons. If the link should work, send it to support and we can check it.

Use live chat from the bottom-right corner when it is available, or create a support ticket so our team can review the issue with your account, file link, payment, or upload details.
